4K Television

DIRECTV led the industry in 4K content for movies and sports, but many customers mistakenly believed that owning a 4K TV meant they were getting 4K broadcasts. I launched a multi-channel awareness campaign to clarify upgrade requirements and spotlight available 4K content.

In collaboration with the product team, we also added real-time pop-up messages to the linear feed, alerting customers when a 4K version was available, which boosted both awareness and adoption.

DIRECTV was the first provider to offer 4K access to Thursday Night NFL games—exciting news with one challenge: we couldn’t use official NFL trademarks due to rights restrictions. Our solution? Partner with Peyton Manning, a DIRECTV favorite and football icon, to anchor the campaign and authentically connect with fans.
